Well
I know that my rating is alot higher than most sites and I'll tell you why.
It may be the same type of 3D shooter that exists all over now.....BUT it
can really be fun. The many side options you get make the game. But let's
start from the beginning.
First of all,
there are two different versions to buy. The regular version with all the
blood in it and the non-violent version. The non-violent version really sucks
and makes the game pretty pointless and unrealistic. And realism is what they
were trying to go for. See the bloody version makes the game because
the game contains hit location. This meaning that you can blow someone's head,
legs, arms or whatever and it can be very gruesome at times. However,
there is a problem with the artificial intelligence. The bad guys do the same
things, run at you or stay in one spot. Especially since they added the fact
that you can lean around corners and shoot people. Plus for some reason if
you shoot and kill someone none of the other guards will be alerted.
The graphics
are alright. It uses the same engine as Quake 2 so the people look blocky
but everything else looks really nice. The guns don't look too realistic but
they are still done well. This is also very good for a large portion of us
that don't have the best or most expensive hardware because this means that
everything will still run well and look nice. Plus when you watch the main
character run during the cinematics, you can see that he runs very strange
like.
The plot is weak
but that happens alot with games like this. But a good feature is added. A
sound feature that tracks how loudly you walk and the sound of your gun fire.
Whenever that meter reaches it's limits, more enemies are spawned. That doesn't
mean that you can sneak by enemies, it just means that your shots have to
be accurate. Plus you are only allowed a certain amount of saves per level.
The multiplayer
is actually very fun if you have a good ping and it's fun to slice your friends
up. All the guns are fun to use. Plus there is a realistic mode you can turn
on that allows you to have one shot kills and etc.
