No ESPN Baseball Tonight

Though quality efforts in several sports have made their way to Dreamcast, it seems that America's favorite pastime has gotten the shaft. Baseball fanatics hoping for relief in the form of an ace from Konami's Development are now facing a tough reality, as IGNDC has learned that ESPN Baseball Tonight has struck out, and is now being "delayed" until next season. In speaking with Konami representatives, the reason behind the delay was that the title just wouldn't be ready in time for the end of the season, and rather than release an incomplete product, they have decided to hold off until next season and give gamers a more complete experience. Konami was quick to note that the same thing occurred with one of their ESPN products, NBA 2Night, and that said title is still on its way for a November release. I guess you could always go play some real baseball or hold a controller while watching TV and pretend. I hear the fielding is actually pretty good that way...oh well. -- Brandon Justice, IGNDC
