Fifa 2001 (import)      rating 8

Now let me tell you now that this is just the import review. When it comes out here it could be different in a few ways. This is just here to keep you interested.

Anway, this is EA Sports first game for the PS2. If you are use to playing Fifa the feel should be the same so you can just jump right into it. All of the old modes are in there and everything.

Graphics. There are no words that I can use that wouldn't have curses mixed in with them. The graphics have always been hot in Fifa and now they are frighteningly life-like. There are alot more frames per second then you would see on the Playstation or the computer (everything will be fluid). The only thing that sucks in comparison to most other PS2 and Dreamcast games was the crowd is in 2d sprites which are kinda ugly in comparison to everything else. But to me, the way the crowd looks really means nothing to me as long as the players and etc. look good right?

The replay has some nice "Matrix" like features and the music is good (from Jamiroquai) but you can only hear it in the menus and not during the game. The live-commentary is back and as good as ever except that the sound quality isn't up to the standards of the PS2. But who knows they may fix all of these things when it hits America. Overall all though, if you love the Fifa series, you'll love this one. If you aren't a real fan but liked last years then this won't be that much different for you.
